SRT.phone is the company’s second smartphone and the company’s goal is mainstream customers. T. Phone is a very affordable smartphone with an initial price of Rs 12,999. We will test a more powerful version of this phone which has more RAM and storage but it costs less than Rs 15,000.
We feel that many people will like SRT.phone initially, because Smartron says that the phone is inspired by Sachin Tendulkar. But is it justified to buy the phone for this reason? Let’s learn in the review.
Smartron SRT. Phone Design and Build Quality
The SRT.phone comes with a standard Candbar design but has curved edges and edges for convenient grip. The plastic body looks strong. The battery is non-removable but two nano SIM slots can be accessed by removing the rear cover of the phone, although it is a little difficult to do so. Gray color does not look great to see, but due to matte finish, fingers do not get too much.
Talk about the front, the phone has a 5.5 inch full-HD IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3. The brightness level of the display is very good, which makes it easy to use the phone in daylight. The viewing angle and color reproduction is also good. There are three backlit dots under the display that act like the Android navigation button. You get the option to enable the onscreen button by going to Setting Apple. On the top, there is an ambient light and proximity sensor but no notification LED has been given.

The volume rocker on the right side of the phone is convenient to run the button, but the power button on the top is a very strange place and it is also difficult to use it. The good thing is that you will use most of the fingerprint sensor to unlock the phone, but still it would have been better to give it to the left. Apart from this, there is no ‘double tap’ gesture to activate the screen.
The camera on the rear of the phone is very flat and Smartron’s Signature Orange Branding can be seen everywhere on the device. Fingerprint sensor is easy to use and it identifies fingers rapidly. During us use, the sensor never had trouble unlocking the phone. Like many other smartphones, you cannot use the fingerprint sensor to lock the app and file. A USB Type-C connector is provided with a speaker grill on the lower edges of the phone.
In the retail box, you get an 18 watt adapter with the phone that comes with Qualcomm’s Qual Charge Stander Support. Apart from this, a type-C cable and some guidelines are available. Smartron has also made some launch offers. Customers will also get an additional cover with Sachin Tendulkar.
Overall, the SRT.phone is good and it fit well in the hand. The phone weighs 155 grams and despite the thickness of 8.9 millimeters, it is easy to keep it in the pocket. The phone does not look very beautiful to see and due to giving the power button a peculiar space, the user will have to be addicted to it, but except it, there is no big problem in the phone.

Smartron SRT. phone specification and software
SRT.phone has better specifications. This phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor and we reviewed 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variants. The absence of expandable storage options in the phone disappoints but the phone has enough space for most use. Talking about the second specification, there are features like Bluetooth 4.1, dual-band Wi-Fi AC, USB OTG, FM Radio and GPS. SRT.phone supports NFC which can be called a great feature in this price segment. The phone also has several sensors including gyroscope. The phone supports 4G with VoLTE on all Indian bands.
Smartron has not tampered with Android and we liked this very much. The phone runs on Android Nougat (7.1.1) and the phone claims to get Android O update. The stock launcher given in the phone looks like a pixel phone. But this phone has an app Drag button. Google Now page opens on the right side and Google Assistant is also given. In the app drawer, the recently installed apps first appear but there is no way to change the app icon according to the order of the letter.

Smartron has given the office suit of the Microsoft app which cannot be uninstall. Good thing, the phone does not have too much app. Apart from this, the phone has a custom gallery and tron.X app. Tron.x is a work security feature, which is necessary to login or login when the phone is reserved or stolen.
There are three sections of the TronyDotx app- Teesor, Ticlaud and Teacher. With the teasore, you can buy other Smartron Products and Accessory products. And from the techlaud, Smartron’s Cloud Storage Service provides unlimited backup space to store contacts, messages photos and videos. Sinks automatically on a short time, but you can also sync manually when needed. Right now, DCIM folders made for photos and videos in the phone have been sinked and we did not find any way to sink any other folder. Last, from the teacher you can interact and call or email with a representative for a question.
The setting app has a section for gesture, but only one option is available. And the camera app opens with the power button twice.
Smartron SRT. phone performance, camera and battery life
SRT.phone gave good performance in almost all tests. In Antuu, we got 80,790 points from the phone while in GFXBench 35 frames per second. 3D games like NOVA in the phone Legacy and Easfault 8 went well without any hassle. Due to stock Android phones, the performance of the phone was good and the interface is also clean. Multitasking is also well in the phone. The call quality coming through the earpiece was good and we did not have any warmth problem in the phone. Shooting videos on the side of the frame or camera get hot quickly at the time of use, but there is no such problem during normal use.
The media playback was a fun experience due to the big display in SRT.phone. The single speaker on the below brings a good sound but the sound looks weak when there is an external noise. The audio coming from the headphones is good but no audio enhancement feature has been given.

The camera in SRT.phone disappoints the most. The 13 -megapixel rear camera comes with PDAF and aperture F/2.0, so focusing in daylight is not very bad and due to wide aperture, the boke effect is found in a macro shot. However, the quality of photographs is extremely average. Landscape pictures taken in daylight are deficient in depth. Close -up shots come very flat and look overactive in sunlight. The focus speed remains bad. In daylight, selfie comes well with a 5 megapixel sensor, but the quality is not very good in the event of the light not being cured.
The camera app is well designed and the user has auto HDR, scene mode, filter and ratio control on the left side. While the shooting mode is on the right side. Manual mode can control shutter speed and ISO, but this setting does not appear in the view Finder in real time. Apart from this, Auto HDR also does not always work, so it would be better to select HDR mode manually if needed.
Video recording up to 4 kg from the phone (up to 10 minutes at a time) can be done and the quality is really good. Slow motion mode helps and timelps video mode is also useful.
The phone has a 3000 mAh battery, but its performance in our HD video loop test was not very good. We were able to run the phone only 8 hours and 43 minutes. During the real use, the phone could run for a full day. The good thing is that the phone’s battery supports the Quick Charge 2.0, so the battery does not take too much time to charge.

Our decision
Smartron has also done a good job for the second time. SRT. Phone is a very good performance handset, except for camera performance. Spending Rs 14,000 for a phone that is more powerful than Honor 6X and Moto G5 Plus (Review). SRT.phone has a good screen, build quality is strong (despite being plastic) and app performance is also very good. On the other hand, it is not the best looking phone in its price segment and the battery life of the phone could be improved.
SRT. Phone is a good option, Honor and Moto smartphones also have their own features, due to which these are also good options. But, if you want a better yui, then Honor 6X can be better and the system performance is also expected to improve with the update rollout. If you like stock Android but you want a good camera, then Moto G5 Plus (review) will be better for you. If you choose Smartron SRT.phone, you only pay more money for 64 GB variants, because there is no option for expandable storage in the phone.
