Nowadays all handset manufacturers are focusing not only on the specification of smartphones but also on their design. Companies are working on the design of the phone to meet the expectations of the customers and give the phone a cool look. Oppo f9 pro Through the company has considered to do something different. The design of Oppo F9 Pro makes people noted its attention. While buying a smartphone, customers look at the look of the phone or say design and specification.

Keeping this in mind the customers, Oppo has launched Oppo F9 Pro with a notch design and great battery backup. This handset comes with quick charging support. Oppo’s vendgy company Xiaomi has launched Poco F1 in a budget of Rs 20,000-30,000. Is Oppo F9 Pro present in the market Xiaomi Poco F1 Will you be able to compete with or not. Also, Oppo F9 Pro is a profitable deal for you or not. Let’s answer these two questions based on specification and price.

Design of Oppo F9 Pro

The Oppo F9 Pro comes with three finish. All three finish come with multi-callers and separate patterns. We have sunrise red finish handsets for review. You will see a diamond cut pattern on the back panel. You will get to see a similar pattern on the back panel of Twilight Blue variants. But in the upper part of the back panel of this model you will see the accumulation of light blue color at the top of the back panel and at the bottom. Two colors have been used on the back panel of Stere Purple Verint with a grade-endigo with gradient finish. The metallic finish of all three variants is very shiny. The finish of the back panel of the sunrise red variant we had was shiny. The diamond cut design on the back panel is always clearly visible, it is not necessary.

Diamond cut design emerges due to the manner of holding the phone in hand or lighting at the right place. In the retail box you will get a transparent cover which is made of rubber. The notch design is given on the front panel. You will see a selfie camera in the notch. The company has named it Waterdrop. Oppo has cleverly reduced the notch according to the design. The front camera has been given in the earpiece phone. You will see a multi -color body behind black marjan. The border in the upper and lower part of the screen is quite small, the company claimed that the handset has a 90.8 percent screen-to-body ratio.

If the phone weighs 169 grams, then you will not find it heavy to lift it. However, to reach all the corners of the phone, the thumb will have to be slightly stretched. This handset of Oppo is not able to protect against dust and water splashes. The power button on the right side, raising voice on the left side and reducing button easily reaches the hand to the fingerprint sensor. We were surprised to see that the company has given a micro-USB port instead of Type-C port in this handset. Please tell that this was necessary for Oppo’s VOOC charging. The lower part of the phone has a 3.5 mm headphone jack and single speaker. On the left side of the phone, there will be a SIM-tray, it has two nano SIMs and slots to install cards.

Specification and Software of Oppo F9 Pro

As we said that Xiaomi Poco F1 has also been launched. Poco F1 will compete with the Oppo F9 Pro present in the market. Both handset are mid-range smartphones. After the launch of Poco F1, now F9 Pro can be a hardware, you may not like anything special. The MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core processor has been used in the Oppo F9 Pro. Let us know that Oppo used this processor first handset of its new sub brand Reality Realme 1 ,ReviewAlso done in. This processor comes with ARM Mali-G72 GPU. Oppo F9 Pro has been launched in 6 GB RAM/ 64 GB variants.

Along with Oppo F9 Pro, the company also launched Oppo F9. In Oppo F9, the company has given 4 GB RAM, not 6 GB RAM. This model is not currently available in the store, the company has also not unveiled at which date this model will start meeting at the store. The shocking thing is that both Oppo models have a difference of Rs 4,000. The main feature of F9 Pro is a 3500 mAh battery and VOOC flash charge support. The charger uses such a technique that prevents the phone from getting hot. The weight of charger and USB cable found in the retail box is heavier than Oppo’s old accessories. Oppo has claimed that this handset gives two hours of talk time backup when charged for five minutes.

Oppo has used LTPS LCD panels in its handset, which reduces battery consumption. The F9 Pro has a display of 6.3 inches (1080×2340 pixels), its aspect ratio is 19.5: 9. For connectivity, this handset wifi comes with 802.11 AC, Bluetooth version 4.2, GPS and volt support. The handset that we have for reviews is equipped with the July 2018 security patch. This handset of Oppo comes with the color OS 5.2 skin based on Android Oreo.

The size of the icon on the home screen is slightly larger. The first home screen of the handset has a smart assistant screen. Here you will see many app shortcuts like weather information, step tracking, event etc. If you pull it downwards, you will see the option of systemwide search. It resembles the feature present in iOS. With the help of a floating panel, you will be able to easily access the app shortcut and screenshot tool. If you use it while watching the video, some apps will launch floating like Windows.

The Settings app has several options. If you want, you can use an on-screen navigation button or gesture. The phone has many gestures and shortcuts. Smart driving mode will block notifications and calls, but you have to activate it in the settings. Or when your phone is connected to the car’s Bluetooth, this feature will still work. Oppo F9 Pro has a face unlock feature, but to use this feature, you must first click on the power button on the side of the phone. After doing this, the phone will scan your face with the help of a front camera. You will also get the theme store in the phone, it has some free themes and wallpapers.

Oppo F9 Pro performance and battery life

The F9 Pro has a 6.3 -inch display that comes with full HD+ resolution. The color of the screen is bright and vibrant, as well as its viewing angle is also good. We did not cause any problem when using the phone outdoor. While watching the video in the full screen due to the Nokia design and folded border, it felt that it was cropping the video a little. The built-in speaker is not very good, because the voice is heard torn. As many times we heard the music, we did not experience bliss.

Oppo F9 Pro scored 137,739 on Antutu, 1,348 in Geekbench Single-Core Test and 5,305 in Multi-Core Test. The graphics score was quite disappointing, because the handset scored 1,078 in the 3 DIMark Slingshot Extreme Scene. Say less or say, there was no problem while playing light graphics games, but the game with powerful graphics Asphalt 9: There was a little problem while running Legends. UI and menu looked very slow while working. The experience was better after playing PUBG. This game went without stuck and we had no problem. We notice that the upper rear part begins to heat up after the powerful game is loaded. If you are fond of playing games with latest and powerful graphics, then this handset will not prove to be a great option for you.

Oppo f9 camera

Oppo’s camera app is largely like the iOS app. Apart from standard photos and videos in the main mode ribbon present at the bottom, you will get time laps, slow-motion, portrait, stickers, pano and expert mode. Portrait mode repeatedly brought us away from our subject and sometimes brought us near. You will get to see the lighting effect more than the miled flitter in the camera app. Standard photo mode will get options for beautification, filters and aspect ratio with Google Lens Integration. Depth effects can be created with a front camera, but the picture will not look real or tell you natural. Beautification mode will already be set on AI. Photos taken at home were not effective. In the light of the day, we found that the camera app focuses rapidly on any object or person.

Everything was clearly visible in the pictures taken by us and the amount of color was correct in them. The camera app takes a few seconds to understand the difference between the fourground and background in portrait mode. But we saw effect on the screen, after which we decided at what time we have to click the picture. The focus at night does not function accurately than daylight. If you take a picture of a person walking, then the picture looks very blur or say blurred. Most of the pictures taken by us have sufficient amount of light. If the pictures are seen in the phone, then it is fine but when looking in full size, the picture does not look right.

Oppo is known for its selfie camera, but in this situation the front camera of Oppo F9 Pro did not find us as impressive. On taking a picture from the front camera, the face sharp and the things present in the background do not capture properly. Edge detection works correctly. In the selfie taken at night, we looked like grain (granny). While recording video from the rear camera, you will get 720p and 1080p two options. We saw Fox on their own auto-focus several times. The camera of Oppo F9 Pro has frustrated us.

Our decision

Oppo F9 Pro reminded us of the year 2000 when Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericsson and other companies used to launch their handsets in the market with imaginative designs. Nowadays there are only a few companies that take a risk on changes in the color, pattern, shape and material of the phone. If this phone of red and purple colored meet your expectations, then you can buy it. The battery life of Oppo F9 Pro is good and overall our experience was fine. The phone camera is average. But this handset may not prove to be a great option. We liked the metal body, weatherproofing and video stabilization at this price only. Our biggest question is whether customers like to buy a handset by giving priority more than performance to design. Oppo F9’s price in India is Rs 4,000 less than the F9 Pro. This handset can prove to be a handset for money, because users are also satisfied with 4 GB RAM instead of 6 GB.
