If seen, Oppo A7 handset Oppo a5 Is upgraded. It comes with waterdrop notch. More storage is given and it also has the latest version of ColorOS. Oppo A7 of Rs 16,990 Realme, Nokia And Xiaomi Like the brand phone will get a tough challenge. Oppo f9 Also, it cannot be ignored, which costs only about Rs 2,000. Is Oppo’s new smartphone worth buying? Let’s know …
Oppo A7 Design
Oppo a7 In the Waterdrop Notch Design. Because of this it seems quite modern. It looks like Oppo F9 to a great extent. Plastic body comes with matte finish on the edges. There is laminated backpanel with texcharged pattern. The back part looks beautiful, especially in the Glairing Gold Trim given for the review.
Oppo A7 feels a big phone when taken in hands, but 168 grams of weight is not too much. The display comes with a scratch guard. But this swipe from the edges creates difficulty in doing these which is not a good thing.

The placement of volume and power button is good. Their feedback is also good. The SIM slot has separate slots for two nano SIMs and microSD cards (up to 256 GB). Laminated backs and fingers on the screen easily fall.
The brightness of the 6.2 -inch LCD display is good. Colors also come beautiful. But the resolution is just HD+ (1520×720 pixels) which is disappointing, especially given the price. Because of this, icons and texts look slightly soft. This is not very bad, but this price range shows a screen with high resolution.
Due to the waterdrop notch, more space is available for use on the screen. But the notification is a holiday of LED. The bezel is negligible on the edges of the display. But the chin on the lower back is quite thick. All ports are at the bottom. You will get micro-USB port, 3.5mm headphone jack and microphone.

The rear has a dual camera module, LED flash and fingerprint sensor. This sensor works fast. The phone also has face unlock which works well, exactly like Realme 2 Pro and Realme U1.
In the retail box, Silicon case with Oppo A7 handset, SIM Ejector Tool, Micro-USB cable and 10 watt adapter will be available.
Oppo a7 specification and feature
In this phone of Rs 17,000, we were expected to be given Snapdragon 636 or MediaTek Helio P60 processor. But Snapdragon 450 is used in Oppo A7. It is not only old, but also part of a phone range of Rs 10,000.
Oppo A5 also comes with this processor, but the initial price of this phone was low. The good thing is that the phone comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. However, RAM does not help the performance a lot. The benchmark performance is also not appreciated.
The phone has dual 4G VoLTE support. Other specifications include Bluetooth 4.2, single-band Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, USB-OTG and FM Radio. Accelerometer, compass, light sensor and gyroscope are part of this phone.

Oppo A7 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo -based ColorOS 5.2. It comes with the security patch of November 2018. Now you can dismiss notifications from a swipe.
You will get a feature like Oroaming, with the help of which affordable data packs can be chosen on foreign tours. With the help of a smart scan, you can shoot and edit the text. Apart from this, language can also be translated. You will find many shortcuts and gestures. It also includes smart sidebar.
Oppo A7 Performance, Camera and Battery Life
Oppo A7 handles common apps and ordinary games properly. But despite having 4 GB RAM, our experience was not very smooth or consistent. Lag feels in switching between apps. An ordinary task like screenshot also takes longer time.
The phone is not hot when playing games or streaming video, which is a good thing. Powerful games such as PUBG Mobile and Shadowgun Legends move to the lowest settings in the phone. A speaker given in the phone brings a good sound, but the sound quality is not as good. Especially for songs or cinema.
Oppo A7’s cameras are very standard. The performance is not very spectacular. The back is on the back of a 2 megapixel (F/2.4) depth sensor with a primary sensor of 13 megapixels (f/2.2 aperture). The speed of autofocus is slow due to lack of PDAF. But with the help of enough light and stable hands, the Oppo A7 takes a fine landscape shot.
HDR also starts working on its own, which is a good thing. Macrose shots are also good, with saturated colors. Edge detection in portrait mode is fine. But the final effect is not very accurate.

The camera is usually difficult in low light. The speed of the focus declines and due to narrow aperture, there is not enough light for bright image. You will have to wait for a few seconds to lock the focus by the camera. Otherwise, a little soft shot will come. The lack of details is clearly visible and colors are also not accurate.
The 16 -megapixel selfie camera captures some vivid shots in daylight. But performance in low light is very average. AI beautification mode is also present. But this is very aggressive.
You will be able to record videos up to 1080 pixels. The quality is fine. But there is no electronic stabilization. The camera app comes with mode like stickers, Panorama and Time Laps.
The battery of Oppo A7 is 4230 mAh. The phone will be known for strong battery life. In our HD video loop test, the battery died in 19 hours 43 minutes, which will be considered very good. The phone batteries in common use support for about two days. The phone does not have fast charging support. But the 10 watt charger makes the battery full charge in about two and a half hours.
Our decision
Sadly, Oppo A7 does not bring anything new or unique to customers. Only the battery life goes in favor of the phone, but for this, Rs 16,990 will not be called a profitable deal. Oppo A7 has a price range of Rs 10,000. But at the existing price, it could have made a special place for itself.
If you are ready to spend more than Rs 15,000 then you have Vivo v9 pro, Xiaomi mi a2, Nokia 6.1 Plus And Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro Like there are better options.
