Ivoomi i1 design

As soon as you take the phone in hand, you will look at the 5.45-inch display which is equipped with 18: 9 ratios. The side of the phone is thin and overall an attempt has been made to give a sleek design. It is easy to catch the phone, this is taken care of. Ivoomi has given the power and volume buttons of this smartphone to the right, but the distance between the two could have been avoided.

The IVOOMI i1 has a 2 micro SIM slot and a separate microSD card slot, for which you have to remove the back cover. The cover is not so convenient that you can easily and remove it. By removing the back cover, you will be able to see its 3000 mAh battery but it is not given the option to remove it. The phone has a 3.5mm jack and a micro-USB port on the top is also given. The phone’s mic and speakers are below. One of the two speakers seen on the lower part does the same. The second speaker is just a show.

As we mentioned earlier, the iVumi i1 has a dual camera with LED flash and a fingerprint scanner is also installed below it. The camera is slightly outwards, due to which when you keep the phone in the flat place, it remains a little lifted. The camera has been given a metal cover from the edge, which keeps the lens safe in a sudden situation like a phone fall. Talking about the look of the phone, it feels like a plastic body, so that we cannot say that we are getting a unique smartphone cheaply.

Ivoomi i1 Software and Specifications

In the 5.45 inch screen you get 640×1280 pixels resolution, which is quite low and not as crisp in the screen as we were expecting. Let us also tell you that other smartphones of this range are coming in better resolution than iVumi i1. MediaTek processor has been used in this, which you will find in most smartphones at low cost. The highest clock speed of the quad-core processor is 1.3 GHz. 2 GB RAM is available for jugalbandi. The storage is 16 GB and if needed, you will be able to use a microSD card up to 128 GB.

There are two cameras on the back of the iVumi i1. One sensor is 13 megapixels and the other is 2 megapixels. The front has an 8 megapixel camera for selfie fans. Talking about connectivity, this smartphone supports 4G and VoLTE. Apart from this, you will also be able to use single-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and FM radio in this phone.

Without making too much changes, the company has kept it on Android Nougat. Ivoomi has added some colored icons to the Settings app, which gives the phone a different look. For this, the phone has been added to the dura speed software to make the processing slow. With the help of the gesture control feature given in the phone, you will be able to shake hands and change songs or radio channels inside the app.

Apart from this, as soon as you take the phone to the ear, the phone will get up automatically, as well as the call will be muted as soon as you go right and left. Also, with the 2-Finger gesture feature you will be able to change wallpaper, although according to us these features are not of the same use of the user, here is the matter of your choice and priority.

In the smartphone, you have been given an option of Quick Touch, which you can use as a shortcut in the app or settings. You can also change the location of the icons seen on the screen. To keep you busy in free time, Ivoomi has given games like Temple Paradise Dash and Cupcake Dreamland. Apart from this, apps like UC Browser, Gender, Flipkart, Google Duo and iVumi Care Center will be found in the smartphone.

Ivoomi i1 performance, camera and battery

Even though the ivumi i1 has used fine hardware, the performance of the phone is not as good. We found that the performance of the phone is falter in general use, although it is not so painful. Running heavy apps and games stops the phone. Not only this, this phone is not worth faster games like shadow fight 3. The loudspeaker hides when using the phone in landscape mode, the deficiency that could be overcome.

The viewing angles of the display are of average level. We found that most of the games and apps in the phone move in fullscreen mode by default. The app which has been updated to the 18: 9 aspect ratio did not face any problem. But the black strip was clearly visible on the edges of some apps. The fingerprint scanner is largely accurate but it takes some time while identifying the fingerprint and unlocking the phone.

Talking about the battery, the battery of the phone runs throughout the day with light use. In our HD video loop test, the battery died in 8 hours 12 minutes. The 5 watt charger coming with the phone is also not very powerful. It took us about 3 hours to fully charge the phone’s battery.

Returning on camera, Ivoomi has not done anything special. Modes like Panorama, videos, photos and Bokeh are given. The speed of moving from one mode to another inside the camera app is very slow. Auto scene detection is also in this smartphone but it is very slow in terms of use. Photos taken from the primary camera of the iVumi i1 are level below the average. The camera takes time to focus. The quality of landscape photos is also not so good that it can be used somewhere. Macrose shots are better quality than landscape mode.

The camera is answered in low light and the photos become blurred. The camera’s bokeh mode is also not special, it does not look fully capable of blurring the background. Apart from this, HDR mode is also slow and the picture deteriorates when a little hand moves. If you are taking selfies in fine light, then the quality of the camera is better. While the primary camera of the phone supports videos up to 720 pixels, the front camera is capable of supporting only 480 pixels footage. However, the camera also has an image stabilizer, but it is not so effective that the quality of the video can be maintained.

Decision

This new 18: 9 -screen smartphone of Ivoomi cannot be called a great smartphone in its range. Battery life is fine. The phone gives a distinct identity due to the display. But the performance is not as good. Weak camera and slow fingerprint sensor have two major flaws. If you do not want an 18: 9 aspect ratio, then you can have good options for you Xiaomi Redmi 5A (Review) or Tenor D (Review), in which you will get better hardware than iVumi i1. If you want a phone equipped with a display with a thin edge in this budget, then we will advise you to wait.
