Under Samsung Galaxy M-Series Samsung Galaxy M10 ,Review) And Samsung Galaxy M20 has been launched. It is worth noting that Samsung has first launched these Galaxy M-series phones in India. This means that the company is once again trying to establish its mark in the market. The Galaxy M-series phones have seen a lot of change in design and specifications. There is no doubt that the company has launched these smartphones to compete with companies like Xiaomi, Honor, Realme and Asus.
Samsung Galaxy M20 design
Infinity-V Nokia has found a place on the upper part of the front panel of Samsung Galaxy M20 smartphone. The Galaxy M20 has a 6.3 -inch display with an aspect ratio of 19.5: 9. In view of the current trend, Samsung has given curved edges in this handset. There is a thin border on the bottom of the phone. The funny thing is that if you keep the Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M10 with each other, then you will find that both are one in the looks, only the Galaxy M20 has a large screen and thin border. The earpiece has found a place above the Nokia in the frame.

The phone also has an ambient light sensor but it will not see you. The proximity sensor has found a place on the left side of the notch. Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M10 will be sold in Ocean Blue and Charcoal Black colors. The color of the review unit of Galaxy M20 with us is Ocean Blue. Samsung has not stated what substance has been used to make the rear panel but it feels like it is made of plasetak.

Despite being a glossy, the back panel of the handset does not slip at all in the hand. Due to the 5,000 mAh battery in the phone, the weight of the phone may take you a little more. Galaxy M10 is slightly lighter in weight compared to the Galaxy M20. This is because the Galaxy M10 has a 3,430 mAh battery.
At the bottom of the Galaxy M20 you will get USB Type-C port with speaker grill. The main difference between Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M10 is that on the back of the Galaxy M20 you will get a fingerprint sensor for security. At the same time, the fingerprint sensor has not been given in the Galaxy M10. 3.5 mm audio jack on the bottom of the phone, power and volume button on the right side of the phone and a sim-tract on the left side.
Samsung Galaxy M20 specification and software
The Samsung Galaxy M20 is equipped with new Exynos 7904 processor and Mali G71 GPU. The company has been using the same processor in its many models for the last several years. But our first experience with Exynos 7904. The benchmark score will show how this chipset will compete with Qualcomm and MediaTek.

The 3 GB RAM/ 32 GB storage variant of Samsung Galaxy M20 will be available for Rs 10,990. Its 4 GB RAM/ 64 GB storage variant is priced at Rs 12,990. The screen resolution of the phone is 1080×2340 pixels. The phone’s battery is 5,000 mAh, the company says that with the handset you will get a charger of 15 watts for fast charging. The handset offers a 3 -hour video and 11 hours of music backup when charging the phone 10 minutes.
The phone has a dual rear camera setup. The rear has a 13 -megapixel primary sensor with F/ 1.9 aperture. Along with this, a 5-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera with F/ 2.2 aperture will work in jugalbandi. The Samsung Galaxy M20 has an 8 -megapixel front camera with F/ 2.0 aperture for selfie fans. This Samsung brand phone comes with dual 4G VoLTE support. The retail box has only 15 watts of charger, USB Type-C Cable, SIM-Eject PIN. Earphones, protective cases and screen guards will not be given with the phone.

You will definitely have some disappointment to know that this phone runs on Android 8.1. But the thing to note is that after the update received by the phone, now this handset is running on January 2019 security patch. In this Samsung brand smartphone, you will get to see many ads. The company’s new one UI is currently in beta phase, which is why this handset of the company has been launched with Samsung Experience UI.
Samsung Galaxy M20 performance, battery life and camera
We did not have any trouble on any side when using the phone throughout the day. There was no problem in running apps and light games. Sometimes the phone used to slow down due to UI. Face recognition used to take a second time to unlock the phone several times, but the fingerprint sensor works fast.

The screen is bright and crisp as well as its viewing angles are also very good. The video on the phone also runs quite well. Asphalt 9: Legends and PUBG Mobile also function properly on medium settings. During gaming, we found that the upper rear part of the phone becomes slightly hot. The screen of the phone is quite large, due to this you may have some trouble in using the phone with one hand. Grip may also have to adjust several times due to the weight of the phone.
Now talk about benchmark score. The performance of the phone in this segment is quite good. The Exynos 7904 chipset has scored 107,540 in the Antutu benchmark. The same score has also been scored by Qualicomal Snapdragon 632 or Snapdragon 636 processor. Single-core and multi-core tests have scored 1,315 and 4,094 respectively. The graphics score can be slightly disappointed. It was running on only 7.1FPS in the GFXBench T-Rex Scene and only 7.1fps in the Manhattan 3.1 scene.

Battery life is very good. We started using the phone around 8 am. Even after the day’s photography and gaming session, the phone had 60 percent battery left till evening. In our HD video loop test, the handset gave 12 hours and 53 minutes backup which was quite disappointed. This is because other phones coming with low battery capacity in this price segment provide better results.
The camera app can be easily used. The camera rapidly makes the focus on the subject. Just above the shutter button is the selector button for the choice of both cameras. The app remembers what you were using for the last time and in such a situation it does not open the primary camera when it opens the app again. You will also find many stickers in the camera app. You can also buy the sticker by going to the Galaxy App Store.
Pro mode is not given in the camera app, so you can only control metering, exposure competition, ISO and white balance. With the help of Samsung Mall Integration, you can take a picture of anything and search it on the online store. We found that the results were quite good but not very wide.
It is worth noting here that the live focus works only on the face. You will not be able to use it to give depth effect in the picture of an object. You will get a beautification mode in it but the AI Enhancement feature has not been given. Photo quality can definitely disappoint you. The kind of sharpness and details in the photo coming in the price segment of Rs 15,000, we did not see this in the photo taken from the Galaxy M20. Photos taken in the day look good in the screen of the phone. One thing is good that all photos have focus and color vibrant. Photo quality was also not very good when the secondary camera was used with wide angle. The low-light camera performance is less than the average. The video made from the phone also came well.
Our decision
We have reviewed the 4 GB RAM/64 GB storage variants of Samsung Galaxy M20. The price of this model is Rs 12,990. At the same price, Chinese mobile manufacturer Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 6 Pro (Review) It also provides goods specification. The Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor and better battery life. Realme U1 (Review) And Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 (Review) Both handsets come with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage. We found in our Tests that both these handsets come with powerful processor and better battery life. The Galaxy M20 may not be able to compete with them in front of the features of its rote handset, but it will compete with all the models.
