Realme C2 design
Most budget smartphones are boring in appearance. Handset manufacturers usually do not prefer design to keep prices low and to keep performance good. But this is not the case with Realme C2 because it is an attractive smartphone. Like other smartphones in the budget segment, Realme C2 is also made of plastic, but the finish is unique on the back panel.
Realme Has used geometric diamond-cut patterns on the back panel of the phone. You can see it on our Diamond Blue Review Unit. The patterns emerge when lights fall on the back of the phone which gives it a premium look. Due to the finish, fingers do not easily fall on the back panel.
The back of the phone has two rear cameras with single-LED flash. Realme logo will be found on the back panel of the phone. Realme C2 has a big display and the selfie camera has got a place in the Waterdrop Notch. The screen protector is already climbed on our review unit. We found that due to the curved frame in Realme C2, the phone gets easily fit in the hand.
The power button has found a place on the right side of the phone, the hands reach the button easily. At the same time, the volume button on the other side is on the left side of the phone. The sim tray is located above the fine volume button.
The bottom of Realme C2 has micro-USB port, loudspeaker and primary microphone while there is nothing in the upper part of the phone. Like Realme C1 to reduce the cost of the phone, Fingerprint sensor has not been given in Reality C2. We found that the build quality of Realme C2 is good and during the review, there is no scratch on the phone.
Realme C2 Specification and Software
Reality C2 is a budget phone and its specifications are not quite effective. This phone is equipped with an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor. Its base variant has 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage. The price of Realme C2 starts at Rs 5,999. 2 GB RAM + 16 GB storage variants will be sold at this price.
The phone’s 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage model is priced at Rs 7,999. We have 3 GB RAM variants of Reality C2. Realme C2 has a 6.1 -inch HD+ (720×1560 pixels) display, 19.5: 9 with aspect ratio. The handset has a protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Its viewing angles are also good and the display in outdoor is quite bright. You can also change the color temperature as per your choice.
Realme C2 has a 4,000 mAh battery to revive life and this phone comes with 10 watts of charger. It is a dual-sim phone and has two Nano-SIM slots. Both SIMs have 4G as well as VoLTE support. Realme has also given a microSD card slot to increase storage. Realme C2 includes FM radio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth version 4.2, A-GPS and Glonos for connectivity.
The Reality C2 runs on the ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie. Our review unit is running on March 2019 Security Patch. Realme C2 will get some apps such as Realme Community, DailyHhant, Facebook, NewsPuint, UC Browser, Amazon, ShareChat and Paytm in advance. If you want, you can also uninstall them.
Support is also included for the theme and you can download them from the theme store app. The app market is another option for Google Play Store and it is also pre-installed, but we found that it keeps sending spi notifications throughout the day. Realme C2 also has a game center app where you will only get games.
Like other Realme smartphones, Reality C2 also has driving and riding mode which automatically puts the phone in DND mode when the car connects with the Bluetooth head unit. When you reject an incoming call, it can also auto-concert to SMS. Gesture navigation is also available in Realme C2.
Realme C2 Performance, Battery Life and Camera
The performance of Realme C2 is acceptable in this price segment, MediaTek Helio P22 processor has been used in the phone. We did not have any kind of problem while launching the app and scrolling in the menu, but when we pulled the notification panel down, the phone would slow down.
We also saw multitasking on this phone, but sometimes the phone takes some time to load heavy apps. Of course the fingerprint sensor has not been given in the phone but it is equipped with face unlock feature. This smartphone quickly unlocks the phone.
We played PUBG Mobile on low settings, graphics on smooth and frame rate on medium. The gameplay was not smooth and it was going stuck. We turned the frame rate into low, causing a slight difference in the gameplay but it was still not smooth. Realme C2 has a 4,000 mAh battery to revive, the phone’s battery life is good.
In our HD video loop test, the phone supported us for 20 hours and 29 minutes. We used Whatsapp in the phone, used Google Maps for navigation for two hours and saw some benchmarks. The charger found with the phone takes more than 2 hours to charge the battery.
Realme C2 has a dual rear camera setup. The primary sensor is 13 megapixels. Its aperture is F/ 2.2. With this, a 2 -megapixel sensor with F/ 2.4 aperture will work in jugalbandi. The handset for selfie has a 5 megapixel sensor with F/ 2.0 aperture. The camera app is the same as we have seen in the reality smartphone before. It has buttons for HDR, Croma Boost, Filter and Flash.
It also has pan, experts, time-laps and slow-mo mode. The camera app offers 2x digital zoom support. The phone has a beautification mode, with the help of which you can set the amount of beautification. We liked the pictures taken from Realme C2 in daylight. The focus in the pictures was good and the details also captured well.
Macro shots get better than our expectation and maintains a proper distance between the phone subject and background. The phone locks the focus quickly and there was no problem with the exposure during the shooting on the macro mode. The details in the portate shot were well captured. The photos taken from the phone in low light did not make much good. The phone did not have sharpness and the grains were seen on zoom.
The details in the selfie captured well and the quality in this price is also good. Realme C2 also has HDR support for front camera. The resolution video of the rear camera 1080P is capable of making the resolution video of 720P.
Our decision
At an initial price of Rs 5,999 Realme c2 There is also powerful hardware, good battery life and up-to-date software. We have usually seen smartphones with weak processors and old software at this price. The camera is an aspect of this phone that requires improvement but its quality in this price is correct.
If you buy the base variant of Realme C2, then tell that it can prove to be a profitable deal.
