Oppo ENCO X2 The price in India is Rs 10,999. It has a dual driver setup with dynamic player megonic drivers, advanced Bluetooth codes support and Danish loud speaker maker Dynaudio support. If you look at the on paper, it has features that are seen in big and premium TWS segment. But does it delivers the same value as promises? Find out in this review.

Design and features of Oppo ENco X2
The design of Oppo ENCO X2 is inspired by its earlier Oppo ENCO X. But some small changes have been made in it which separate the two models. Some of these changes, such as the earpiece of Oppo ENCO X2, meets Apple AirPods Pro, especially the contrast black accent given around inner and outer microphones. Apart from this, just like AirPods Pro, it has partly given force touch to controls. Even the length of the stems of the earpiece is almost the same.
There are some design elements in Oppo ENCO X2 that create a distinct identity of it. The cutout on the earpiece ‘L’ and ‘R’ marking on Oppo ENCO Air 2 Pro is similar to casting in which the inside microphones are given in gaps. No people of OPO are found on the earpiece. A different thing with logo on the charging case is given as a Dynauudio badge, which is one of the main features of this headset.
The yearpiece of Oppo ENCO X2 has force touch control which I find more accurate than ENCO X. These can also be customized with the help of the app. The fit of earbuds is quite comfortable and can be heard for a long time with noise isolation. The headset in India comes in two colors- white and black. It has an IP54 rating for dust and water.
The charging case of Oppo ENCO X2 is slightly wide but is slim to keep it in the pocket. The USB Type C port has been given in the bottom. The peering button is found in the right side. Indicator lights are given under bottom and lid. It also provides QI wireless charging, but for this you have to keep the charging case from the front side in which the Dynaudio logo should be upwards. It took me some time to learn to use it but overall it was not inconvenient.
When it comes to features, Oppo ENco X2 is quite impressive according to the price range. Apart from ANC and app support, it also has interesting features. It uses bone condemnation technology and a voice pickup is available for microphones. The recording supports Dolby Audio BineOl recording, using it as a microphone as well as dual device connectivity. The sales package consists of charging cable and three pear earcipps of silicone which are given in different sizes for customizable fit.
Oppo ENCO X2 App and Specifications
The ENCO X2 works with the wireless headset heymelody app. The app is available with both platforms, Android and iOS support. ENCO X2 does not need any app when used with select devices of OPO and OnePlus as all app based settings are found in Bluetooth settings only.
Talking about myself, I used the app to connect with the iPhone. OnePlus 9 Pro When used with, I was able to access Oppo ENco X2 through basic settings phones. It contained all the settings that are found in the app. Rather, I would say that Bluetooth settings were given settings in a better way.
Talking about functions, it contains three modes for intensity, including ANC, transparency mode, sound customization, dual connections and customization of controls. Single function can be accessed at each earpiece with single, double or triple squege. Apart from this, side gestures can also be used.

A setup can be created to control the playback and volume, aquet voice assistants and togle between ANC and transparency mode. All these things are possible through the earpiece. The headset has four equipment presets of which three are of DYNAUDIO. With their help, you can set Sonic Signature as per your choice. I did not like the Dynaudio preset and I liked Classic ENCO X which found a balanced and detailed sound.
Oppo ENCO X2 has a dual driver setup with an 11mm dynamic driver and a 6Nm megnetic driver is in each earpiece. This is a very unique feature for True wireless headsets. The earphones have a 20–40,000Hz frequency range. For connectivity it uses Bluetooth 5.2. It supports SBC, AAC and LHDC Bluetooth codec. During the review, I also received an update to LDAC Bluetooth codec support in the headset, but when I used it on OnePlus 9 Pro, it liked LHDC Bluetooth Kodek. It supports multipoint connectivity up to two devices. It also supports Google Fast Pair.
Oppo ENCO X2’s performance and battery life
Oppo ENCO X2 has been launched in the mid -range segment, but you will be surprised that it can compute with OnePlus Buds Pro and Samsung Galaxy Buds 2. When it comes to sound quality, ENCO X2 seems to have gone far ahead. The most credit goes to its driver setup and is also a very difficult to see advanced Bluetooth codec support which is very difficult in the range of 10 thousand. When I used it with OnePlus 9 Pro and in Lhdc Bluetooth Codec, it performed as the sound I felt in Sony WF-1000xm4 and Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 headsets. Both these headsets are very expensive than ENCO X2.

The sonic signature of Oppo ENCO X2 is balanced. The dual driver setup produces audible splits in the sound and I felt it separately in low-parts, so that fast tracks such as Velvetine’s The Great Divide of Velvetine got a tight base. The base attack seems quite strong but does not go too much that it cannot be tolerated. Frequency range is found in mid and high. Panchi Beats and Highiz led to a slight lack of accuracy. There was more scope for further improvement in upbeat vocals in fast electronica tracks. The same results were found in the Vocal focused track like Stay with Me’s Stay with Me. Halsey’s hook and Justin Timberlake’s energy affected in the track. This sound experience was similar to flagship headsets.
Having two drivers in each earpiece means that Oppo ENco X2 can also work easily with additional data, the credit goes to LHDC Bluetooth Codec. The earphones also handle the fast pace, the cohesive task easily.
In Oppo ENCO X2, the WHEREver You Go of The avalanches heard very beautiful. These include Panchi, refined and Kelkulated Reproduction. According to the price, active noise cancellation in the headset was also good. Different ANC modes were also given for this but I did not find any significant difference and I kept it set at Max level.

Indoor got good ANC performance compared to outdoor. It was able to stop the air conditioning sound or the inside of the office. It could not block outdoor sounds as effectively. Yes, while listening to the music while walking in the street, the difference seemed clear.
Call quality and voice recording is quite good. It can capture clear audio. Connectivity up to 4 meters was quite smooth. Battery life was fine according to me. With the ANC in single charge, medium volume and LHDC Bluetooth codec on hone were able to run for 4 hours. With the charging case, 3 bicycles are added to each earpiece, which makes the total run time of 16 hours.
Our decision
Oppo has created a new wave in the TWS segment and set new dimensions. The ENCO X2 proves this effort of the company further strongly. In many ways it is an impressive wireless earphone headset. Its design, its performance, go far ahead according to the price and it competes with the flagship headsets, that too at half the price with them! Battery life will be called average, apart from that you will probably not be able to make any other complaints.
Some people want options in this price range from brands like Samsung and OnePlus, but Oppo ENCO X2 goes ahead with their features and codec support here. iPhone users will not get much benefit from codec support but good tuning and app support fulfills it to some extent. If you are an Android user, then you cannot get a better option than ENCO X2 in a range below Rs 15,000.
